Items not permitted in storage
At Secure Max Storage, certain items are prohibited to ensure the safety, health, and legal compliance of our facilities. This list is not exhaustive. If you're unsure about whether an item is acceptable for storage, please contact us for guidance.
⚠️ General Prohibited Items
- Hazardous, illegal, or stolen items: Includes weapons, drugs, or other unlawfully obtained goods.
- Flammable, explosive, or toxic materials: Examples include gas, petrol, paint, kerosene, chemicals, motor oil, corrosive acids, fertiliser, cleaning solvents, propane tanks, oxygen tanks, fireworks, explosives, ammunition, or compressed gases.
- Environmentally harmful items: Asbestos, toxic/biological agents, polluted/contaminated materials, commercial waste or radio-active material.
- Items emitting fumes or odours: These are not permitted to maintain air quality.
🍽️ Food & Perishables
Food and perishables are not allowed unless vacuum-sealed and pest-resistant. Improperly packed food can spoil, attract vermin, or transfer odours to other items.
🚗 Vehicles, Trailers & Watercraft
- Vehicles (cars, motorbikes, trailers, or boats) must be in good condition, free from damage, and supported by proof of ownership. Storage of tyres is not permitted.
- Damaged vehicles are not permitted without prior Secure Max permission.
⚡ Appliances, Electronics, Lithium-ion Batteries
- Appliances such as toaster, refrigerators, freezers, heaters, or generators must be clean, empty, and disconnected. Doors on refrigerators/freezers should remain open. Batteries must be removed from electronics.
- Lithium-ion batteries or any items containing them are prohibited.
🪴 Living or Perishable Items
Animals, plants, or related products (living or deceased) are not allowed. Fertilisers are also prohibited.
💦 Damp or Soiled Goods
All items must be clean and dry to prevent mold or mildew. Consider using moisture-absorbent packs to maintain item quality during storage.
🛢️ Illegal Items
Any illegal substances, weapons, or unlawfully acquired items are strictly forbidden.
